Orthodontic Treatment

Orthodontic treatmentOrthodontic treatment has improved greatly over the years. Modern orthodontic appliances are now more aesthetically pleasing and there are braces that can be hidden completely from view. Our patients now have more options and flexibility when it comes to choosing the kind of orthodontic treatment and appliances they will have.

While braces in the past were only made of stainless steel, now you can choose from metal braces, ceramic braces and even lingual braces which are attached to the back of the teeth. There are also clear custom aligners that can straighten the teeth without the use of wires and brackets. At our practice, we offer ClearCorrect, which is a series of clear aligners that are virtually invisible so you won’t have to feel embarrassed about your treatment.

Orthodontics TreatmentAdditionally, modern braces also offer better performance. Orthodontists have already adopted the use of copper-titanium or nickel for the arch wires (instead of stainless steel) which apply pressure to the brackets and tighten when exposed to warm temperatures inside the mouth. The pressure on the teeth is also more moderate so the patient will experience less pain at the start of treatment and following each adjustment.

There’s a lot of variety when it comes to modern orthodontic appliances and people now have better options to improve their smile.

Best Investment for children

Furthermore, 78 percent of mothers who had braces as a child believe braces are one of the best investments their parents made for them. So, why not make that investment in your child, or even yourself?
